I had a canon 550D dslr before I bought this thing and let me tell you, I am having just as much fun with this thing as I did my dslr, pic related.
Both styles of camera have their pros and cons. I make casual youtube videos so the go pro is just perfect for me.
You get what you pay for and what you want out of your camera determines what you buy. I am just sharing my experiences.
