>>2644336The power depends on what you plan on using them for. I’m saving up for 12x Swarovski’s for deer and antelope. My $200 8x light weight binos work just fine for archery elk.
If you’re in thick timber, 8x will be more than enough. Where as how I hunt deer and antelope, 10x or 12x would be more beneficial. Handholding anything over 10x can be difficult due to lack of stability. I carry a tripod, which makes the 12x more desirable for the style of hunting I do.
