I'm curious, have you ever visited the Sierra del Burro in northern Coahuila, across the border from Langtry/Dryden/Sanderson?
You can see them on clear days from highway 90 on the Texas side. I've always been fascinated by them and their ability to form supercell thunderstorms. The landscape appears to be a mixture of the drier parts of the Texas Hill Country with the mountains of the Sierra Madre Oriental.
Muzquiz is in that general vicinity, and I'm wondering if you ever drove from Boquillas to Musquiz on 53.
