>>1214826I went ice fishing in a closed part of the park and saw a sign that said no ice fishing, I went ice fishing anyway since I hiked for 45 minutes with 60lbs on my back to get there, and on the way back a park ranger told me I'm not allowed to go there , but he probably wouldn't have done anything if he saw me actually ice fishing. 98/100 times nobody says anything, that being said I went fishing on unposted private property and the owner of the property called the cops and told them the property was posted, I was 15 at the time and the cops basically told the guy to chill out. The trick is to operate in legal grey areas and not blatantly illegal stuff. For example never hop a fence that says posted, but if you go around a gate in a public park, people won't care so much. If someone comes by just play stupid and apologize. Most of the time police just want to make sure you're not smoking pot. Also living right near the park will get you much further than if you lived somewhere else. Local sheriffs love out of towners doing "illegal" stuff
