And, with everything being made from Merino wool the prices are sky high. It kind of fucking sucks. I had an old Pendleton blanket from the 1970s that got destroyed 3 years ago. That thing was amazingly thick and warm. Now, its all "MERINO WOOL 80/20 BLEND TWIN SIZE $200." Blankets for my King sized bed are near $500 and still a Merino blend.
Fuck Merino wool. You are supposed to use a god damn sheet between you and the itchy thick blanket so you don't need to wash the blanket nearly as much or get itchy.
It'd be cheaper to raise my own sheep, make my own blankets then eat the sheep.
