so what actually creates ever more intelligent and efficient societies with ever more intelligent members with ever better technology and an ever growing pool of knowledge about our universe?
reason and evidence tell me that that it is the non-aggression principle and the free market along with the use of reason that creates this.
the NAP is a common agreement between a society's members to not control or enslave one another, to not steal from or eat one another and to not destroy each other unless it is only to defend yourself from those violating this principle. the free market is the freedom of choice and association, the freedom of trade and money, the freedom to share information, ideas and arguments, and the freedom to defend oneself and offspring from those breaking the NAP. the NAP in a free society weed out those who break it. the free market of choice weeds out those who make bad choices by letting them kill themselves off.
the NAP and the free market set a stage that allow, nay require humans to work together and to compete with each other with only our brains using reason. without it, it's back to who can prey on, steal, out muscle, manipulate, control, devour or destroy each other the best. most of the people native to the more developed world(whites, asians) get this on the small scale in their personal dealings, but they allow it to slide in the case of government.
