>>1991653>(and other natural fibers)So, what other fibers are you folks using?
Obviously, Cotton. For short day trips in good conditions, it's good enough. When mixed with Polyester, it becomes my favorite fabric for general out-pants use. Fjällräven pants are overpriced but fantastic.
Recently got me pic related, but can't yet test it out. Definitely a summer thing (It's essentially a densely woven dress shirt). I know their heavy cotton stuff, and that's actually quite good winter wear, if (and that's a big IF!) you're in dry and cold conditions. Lots of polar expeditions actually use cotton outer wear, since membranes just don't work in really cold conditions. But not so sure if it's a good idea for a summer "softshell". Oh well, if it's not, it'll make a nice city jacket.
Line is great for summer, but haven't yet found anything good besides (dress) shirts or hippy looking pants. The first I don't care, but the second I'd like to avoid.
What about other, more exotic fibers such as hemp or stinging nettle? Am I missing out?
