>>2645191Knives are certainly tools. Thats why you use right tool for right job. I have 3 separate Puukkos when /out/. One is really big, almost a small sword. Thats for hacking stuff and chopping wood. Middle size is exclusively for making food (it only touches stuff I'm going to eat, like dried meat or veggies) and the smallest, type called Karhunkynsi ("bear claw") is for gutting fish (or skinning deer). I actually have my granps puukkos still around and little bit of sharpening and anti-rust would make them usable again but for sentimental reasons I have them rather as memorable than tools. Then again not all people have this in their blood and culture, I undeestand it.
