Coldest and rainiest part to, and also some of the communities there are among the highest elevation inhabited communities in the US and North America (Hannagan Meadow, Greer, Alpine). Alpine, Greer, Hannagan Meadow, Sprucedale, Mt Escudilla, Greens peak, Pinetop-Lakeside etc etc. are all GOAT in AZ for alpine and sub-alpine /out/ing and living in AZ.
