I run a clam farm in Southwest Florida. All the work is done by divers underwater. Its a fucking cool job: sea turtles, manatees, sharks, eels, crabs and fish galore. My advice is to get into commercial diving, there's big money if you go to a commercial dive school and work offshore on oil rigs.
Also lots of dredging and construction companies hire divers, some don't require any certifications/experience.
If you get a USCG captain's licence, you'll up your chances working on the water. It's like $500 though...
