I routinely go with friends and it’s a great way to spend time. It can be a little constricting but there’s nothing more fun than brewing a pot of hot coffee and drinking it with the boys.
Can be a little awkward though when you’re super cramped up, but I got an 8 person hot tent (pictured) and we found sleeping with 4 +their gear is the upper limit.
If it’s the misses and I, we bring our chairs in and a little foldable table and it’s almost like an apartment. Bitch to set up though/carry so I really only use it for hikes less than a mile haven’t tested it in heavy snow, but I imagine the 10+ pound tent 15 pound stove would be easy to drag with a sled.
