>>988005>>987990>>987982>>987790To follow on, pic related is my no-name Savinelli second. When I found it in a junk shop for $10, the bit was so oxidized that it looked greenish-white. After an hour of scrubbing and rinsing in hot water, it got to where most of the oxidation was gone and there was just a small wash of pale brownish oxidation on it, which went away after the stem dried out and cooled down. If I really wanted it to shine I could wax it, but I don't care that much.
So it can be done cheap and easy and you can get good results. All it takes is a little time.
