Went out again today with my field recorder this time (TASCAM DR-05), so wasn't focused as much on birds and in fact saw far less than I did on my last trip to the same spot. I did spot a Killdeer though, I think (pic related). The pond I came back to record at was basically empty of ducks, unlike last time.

Unfortunately some airplanes kept buzzing overhead and at one point some hikers walked past talking loudly but otherwise I was able to capture quite a few different birds, including acorn woodpeckers, black phoebes, and the killdeer mentioned above.
