I think near-infrared/red penetrates deep into the plant where other spectras do not arrive.
Theres much interessting research on this, but these panels are the best diy solution on the entire global market, not even joking.
You can hook them up to any computer power supply, as they are 12v, and the ppfid (spectrum fitting for plants) is spot on.
