Giant kelp forests are awesome. When you're on top you just see these long strands of kelp doing down into the gloom and it can seem kinda barren, there aren't many fish. Then when you make a drop you descend through the murk and the visibility opens up and there's life everywhere. Sharks, rays, sheephead, harbor seals, lobsters, abalone and tons of reef fish.
It's awesome because you never know what you'll see on each drop.
