For just plain knockabout "I don't care if it gets tossed around, dirty or broken because it's cheap anyway" use, it's hard to beat a corncob. That they're god tier smoking pipes is just icing on the cake here-they're $7 and available at any drugstore in the land.
Or, if you need waterproof and easy to clean, an old Venturi or "The Pipe"-like pic related-fills the bill for cheap. Made of plastic with a graphite bowl. They'll never warp, you can clean them with soap and water and they're cheap on eBay. I got this one for $10.
