I was considering the buck but because it has that point i thought it would eat up batonning sticks. Have u tried it yet? I would love to see more photos. I wanted to get the buck just for being in teh collection, possibly to do fine work.
Went with a schrade in the end very happy but it does not have the same style as the buck lmao

I filed the top jimping to a softer, rounded-off profile to improve the comfort. I am lucky however because it fits my hand very well.
Very happy with it, feels truly indestructible.. I wish they kept the larger choil of the 36, but it makes for a great place for ferro rod. Very well balanced. Holds a good edge for 1095 and I chopped a 4inch diameter dead tree in half with it lmao and it was still sharp enough at the end to be useful for feathering. That gave me a chip near the belly of the blade that I could almost sharpen off again, but very impressive for taking down a tree..

Only issue is that small choil. But its pretty rare you get something for 60$ that feels like it will last beyond the end of the world and back again.
