Yes, 15 yards should be a breeze. In what situation are you finding these squirrels? I have a burrowing problem here and these guys see you from about 70 yards away and hide. Sighting my scope for about 60 yards, Ive found that at that distance heavier is better (regardless of bullet drop), so ive settled on the .177 Hunter Barracuda (9.6 g) for my Gamo Maxxim. Its advertised at 1300 fps but cant find with what grain they used, Im thinking 5.5g since they claim "alloy pellets".
Squirrels have been no problem if you hit in the proper places. I got this squirrel from a position 95+ yards away.
