On top of that, it should also be mentioned that much of the higher elevations were generally only seasonally inhabited [read: used for pasture and forage in the summer and hunting/trapping in other parts of the year] and that most of the settlements not in the Sangres had butt fucking nothing to do with either Spain or Mexico and were established by French and/or burgers.
