>>1108106And back to the other bed, picked up some cheap shit bagged "compost" from the hardware store. $3.50 for 40l. I'm lazy, and since its basically wood chips I thought I would chuck that down and put some mushroom compost on top, then mulch it. I was also finishing work and was tired. Could probably get a better deal at a landscapers or something, but that involves thinking and a trailer, which takes effort to borrow.
Put down 80l, a layer of sand (for bulk and because I like to think it will help drainage), and then another 80l. I wet it, and I reckon it'll need another 80 after it settles, the the mushroom shit mixed into the top layer. Mulch on that.
If I get around to it once they are done I'll measure them for growing space. I'm not planning any of this shit. It's all based on what I had lying around and could get cheap. Considering this bed (the pavers one) might only end up costing me the $25ish in soil costs, I think a lack of planning is no big deal.
