Which has nothing to do with the guns because you cant scent proof your shit even if you process the game outside the woods(which a lot dont).
So basically what your statistic says is that people who dont attract bears with blood scents dont meet them very often. Those that do get injured because the bear is hungry as fuck and doesnt let much get in his way.
