Quality is Victorinox>Leatherman>rest
Leatherman has a more clear cut warranty (25 years).
Victorinox more like to tell you to pay for it despite lifetime warranty.
Victorinox softer metal, but least likely to rust.
Leatherman more likely to rust, but cannot tell if a harder metal or not.
In my experience, more people find a Leatherman useful with bit tool, replaceable wire strippers, etc, but think the Victorinox will last longer, be less likely to rust, and weighs less than the the most popular wave/charge.
The Swiss army knife is okay too, but tools dont lock and less usable.
The lighter the weight, the easier the program compliance. I use a swiss card in my wallet. Weighs nothing and has scissors, etc.
If you go with SAK, go with what tools you need.
If you go with multitool, go with one of the standards: Swisstool Spirit (7 oz), Wave/Charge (8 oz), Surge (12 oz), Swiss tool (12 oz?)
