>>1333434>>1333448>not very successfully....read the recent past threadsLots of people are successful with forest gardens. You just can't plant corn, potatoes, onions, and tomatoes thinking it'll just work. You have to plant forest-specific plants. There's a few types of forest gardening. Some are starting with open ground and growing a forest. Some are starting in a clearing in a forest and using what little light they get for growing normal crops. Others are actually inside an existing forest growing things specifically evolved to grow in a forest. You'll need to look at your situation to figure out which one is best for you then research it better. If all else fails, you can always grow mushrooms.
>>1333442>>1333448>>1331049That happened all over the USA in every single body of water to some extent or another. Some places are far worse than others of course. My area has been 110% completely fucked over by oil & gas companies from fracking and illegally dumping directly into the bodies of water in every location. 5 years ago we could eat the fish here, now the government says we can't eat the fish and can't even go swimming in the water anymore. No one is doing anything about it. No arrests have been made, that I know of, and everyone in power is like, "lol I dunno, just don't go there it'll be fine. Get your food from the store like everyone else."
It is like the plot to a cheesy action movie with the action part
>>1333485Might be both, but check how wet the soil is down in deep when you haven't watered for a while. Then think about any fertilizing you've done and think about how much compost/organic matter there is in/on the soil. Do you think there's a nitrogen problem? You can do a test for it to find out.
>>1333490When I did it, back in the day, I did it the same way. Now, I'd poke the smallest hole possible then use drip lines to water everything.
