I've got a Primus Yellowstone and I dig it.
It's not as compact as a Pocket Rocket, but it's got fewer moving parts, wider heat distribution and easier temperature control (IMO).
The other nice thing about canister stoves is that the canisters are all universal, so you can buy whatever is on sale and it will still work with your stove (unless you have one of those Gaz stoves).

Not necessarily a deal-breaker, but something to be mindful of.
If you want simple and light weight, alcohol/solid fuel is a pretty good option.
Another option could be an MSR whisperlite Universal. It's a liquid fuel stove that comes with fittings to burn just about any flammable liquid so you're never really out of fuel. The have a pretty awesome lifespan, too. The downside is that they're pricey, take a lot more cleaning and it takes a bit of practice to use it well.
