A week ago I threw a bacterial jar into a crevice of a dead log and mixed in a bunch of dirt, decayed wood debris, leaf liter and twigs. Not really expecting much from this but after a week it seems to have been eating the pile. It was a bit dry though because of direct sunlight hitting it, and even though I thru a good bit of dirt and etc to shade it, I should have patched it up with a nice pile of leaves to make it happier
