10 is probably the minimum number of rods to own to be correctly equipped to do all season and multispecies fishing in your local area...
so someone who owns 10 rods has either achieved, or is on their way to getting that perfect 10 of rods but lets face it we all make mistakes and rods don't have tremendous resale value on the secondary market and the last 20 years of materials technology has rendered obsolete any rod that wasn't made in the last 5 years or so if you're fishing pre-pandemic rods you have to decommission them and get all new ones.
