Picked it over the GoPro because of the cost and form-factor - not a fan of the teletubby mounts. The lower profile of the Contour on the side of my helmet is nice, doesn't get snagged on trees or noticed by others as much.
Operation is stupid simple - switch forward = on, switch back = off.
Configuration is done through a computer (or smartphone with USB adapter or SD card reader, and text editor). Other models have bluetooth and can be configured a little easier on the go.
Image quality isn't great as some of the other products, but it's good enough. Most of my rides it's on 1 photo/second, races and commuting I switch to video.
If you're looking for the most support, mount options, and quality, fork over the money for a gopro. Otherwise, form factor and ease of operation along with cost.
