Just now a red tailed hawk with one of my young chickens. You can see some white feathers on the ground near it. The chicken is under the hawk. The chicken is currently in the coop, hopefully it will recover. I found black feathers there too, so it may have lost a chance at one of the young black chickens. There were several chicks right near it all trying to get under the bushes on the other side of the fence all were incapacitated with fear and needed to be relocated manually. The hawk is currently still circling the area, but the 30+ chickens are all hiding out under my blackberry briars not making a peep.
I guess I need to set up cover for them in that section.
