Hi /out/, I've got nothing to do these days, however, I'm in the middle of Colorado right next to the Rocky Mountains. I was a real lazy kid, so despite growing up there, I really know nothing of the outdoors. So I come to ask if any of you could give me tips on collecting edibles from the land. Small game hunting, how to catch fish, particular plants that won't kill me? I have some guns suitable for hunting and some fishing rods for lake fishing but they dont' seem to do so well in rivers. I've always wanted to do something like in this picture. Whenever I visit my parents, there's a nice river running through town but it seems I need a fly-rod to get anything out of it.
Basically, does anybody here get a majority of their food from the outdoors?
