>Be me, 18 y/o>Been solo camping for years, winter specialized>Decide to go with a group of people from a Facebook hiking group to a hot springs I have hiked to before >16 km hike through about 2 feet of snow on a forest service road>Pretty much everyone is based, but these 2 women who came with our group of about 7 people >One day chick and another skinny girl>At the base of the road/trail we park and unload>I'm a light packer, very efficient, everyone else packs a bag and we bring a beer sled >These 2 women though, they brought about 6 garbage bags of their shit>We had to leave the beer behind and use the sled for them, sucks but whatever >1 km in we have to stop because the fat one has issues and all of their stuff falls out>we do the hike in about 8 hours, not bad but still slow >We set up tents and I finish early, so I go and help out others, the girls already jumped in the hotspring, without a tent setupI should mention it's the dead of winter and it was going to snow a couple inches overnight
>They say that they will setup their tent later, I say ok fine whatever>Drink the plastic water bottle of absinthe I brought>At 1 am they leave the spring to setup their tent, insist they don't need helpAt this point it's snowing heavily and is -20 c
>It's a spring powered pop-up tent that goes for 30$ at Canadian TireThese retards humbled their way to the spring, Complained the whole fucking time and froze on the night there, had to cut the trip short due to their incompetence. They also begged for the little alcohol I had and if one of them could stay in my tent because they froze. Also they both smoked a lot of ciggies and Jo way was I letting them into my 2 man winter tent with all my gear and their gear as well. Fuckem, horrible experience with these women
