>>2552566Yes and No, actually I spent like a month researching shit, after girl at REI told me get a Flash 55, down bag, and insulated pad. Yes I actually listened to her, bought most of what she suggested. I loved all the gear. Now I simply switch out gear to keep it interesting, even if it's a down-grade. REI backpack Flash 55L for a Crown 60L in a better color than GREY. Nothing wrong with the Flash55 at all. Returned a $350 Marmot down sleeping bag for a cheap synthetic cuz I was sweating at 30 degrees. Returned the Sea to Summit pad for a less insulated one. Returned Salomon boots cause I don't need friggin football cleats to walk on dirt/ rocks/ roots.
A huge part of the fun is preparation for a backpacking trip. I weigh my shit like a Reddit weight weenie, and it's makes me visualize my layout way better.
Cheers to the fun and thrill of being a consoomer. Costco has great /out/ pants. Under Armor Bike Puma Adidas all make great /out/ shoes.
