- Fresh tracks are the best for finding a rabbit (obviously).
- Don't follow the tracks too close by or the rabbit will think you're trying to find it and it will escape more easily. Walk a few meters away from the tracks so you'll look like you're just passing by.
- Move slowly but keep moving if you think you're close to a rabbit. If you stop completely, it will get nervous and will try to escape.
- The distance bethween the tracks gets shorter when the rabbit tries to find a place to rest. This is when you need to stay sharp because the rabbit might be hiding nearby.
- Before resting rabbits tend to follow their tracks back or change direction a bit. If the tracks change direction, you can walk in a circle - if more tracks go inside the circle than get out of it, the rabbit is in somewhere nearby.
- Rabbits like to rest near rocks dense bushes.
