>>1340493>>1342687You two are objectively wrong, at least for two wheeled vehicles, there have been multiple studies done that look at the erosion impacts of trail users and they've all found that two wheeled vehicles (bicycles and Off road motorcycles) contribute to the least amount of erosion compared to other groups (namely Horses and Hikers), however this doesn't really hold for four wheeled vehicles since they inherently have the wheels skid somewhat during turns which results in the type of pitting that you've seen in your picture.
If noise is a concern you can just restrict motorcycles to street legal stock exaust bikes, they all have to comply with the DOT 80db maximum noise limits which mean that you really can't even hear them from over 200ft away even with spirited throttle use.
