just throw it out and retreve it at a constant pace being sure to not get caught on the bottom
trout are pretty weary so i would use light line when fishing for them i usially use 2-8 lbs depending what kind of area im in
look for deep pockets and eddy's to throw into thats where they like to hang out they also will chill behind big rocks that break the current try some small silver and gold spoons
im more of a bass fisherman but i have caught some pretty damn nice trout with worms like this too big to be stockies
biggest one was almost 26 inches and i caught it durring an enormous rain storm
got bored and went set up a tarp by the edge of the river with a small fire and just let the bait soak
