>>881159i'm on the same forum as this guy. it was tied for show iirc. he ties some incredibly realistic flies. mostly case flies for display.

>>881143most A rigs are 5 arm. a hvy swimbait rod will throw them. in caliifornia you can only have 3 rigged with hooks so the other 2 are dummies or you can add more flash with willow blades. they work well casting to schoolies.
>>881120what do you do with the wire to rig tandem flies? I just use floro and a swivel..
>>881176>non licensed fishingtends to bring out subsistence fishermen.
you have a problem with them dont fish piers.
I enjoy pier fishing. I stake out my spot position my pier/beer cart, set the rods out to make a little more room for myself, bait up, toss a little chum, pop a coldy and wait for the fish show up..Its a little more social than loner fishing, some people might look over if you 420 blaze it but they rarely say anything.
one other thing is the sense of camaraderie, you hook something big and everyone is happy for you, people usually help with the landing and even provide their own net to help you out. shit some will even take your picture.
I dont see whats not to enjoy? theres been plenty of times ive been alone on a pier.
pier fishing is a fun distraction from lonely guy fishing.
