Or try fishing lures under a clear float, or live bait under a normal float to keep them from sinking to the bottom.
Or you can try a drop shot rig (picture top left). Rig your bait weedless style and use a weak knot on the weight so that if it gets snagged, you just lose the weight.
Stick with the rocks. Fish like cover, so if you aren't losing baits, you're not fishing where all the fish are.
