Me and at least one other person on this board are running around with the Canon SX720, nice little compact with 40x optical zoom. I got mine for around $200 last year and it has been my main /out/ camera since then. I mainly use it for birding, and under the right conditions it does a decent job (pic related), but I've been disappointed with the landscape photos I try to take with it. Can anyone recommend a nice cheap compact that can take good landscape photos? Zoom capabilities aren't a major concern.
