>>1902104Probably should have mentioned this was about 12 feet up the trunk, trunk is about 12" in diameter at the base, and the holes are about 1/4" in size. Tree seems fine and had a full canopy of green and are just now starting to turn yellow and brown and fall to the grass below.
North Texas if that helps anyone. I haven't heard any knocking unless it happened when I closed up the house and turned the AC on.
Bonus question:
These are probably wood mushrooms, but can anyone identify them? Any harm in just leaving them here?
