accidentally discovered that the bottom lip of these 17.5oz coconut water cans fits perfectly into a supercat stove. its also made from just about equally thick aluminum as the cat food can, a lot thicker than most soda/beer cans.
two possibilities:
- make supercat out of the coconut water cans. it will burn the same but require scoring and rolling the edge at the top. the lipped base makes it a less prone to tipping, which is the supercat's main weakness.
- cut coconut water around circumference, then about 6 times lengthwise, fold over the 'legs' to double thickness, and turn it into a stand for the supercat, for uneven terrain.
i'll drink a few more, test these out a while, and post whatever mod winds up being the best next time there's a stove thread.
