I think she was just scared. We have a few cougars here and there that venture out of the mountains and innawoods and they end up being spotted in town and relocated or shot unfortunately.
Last week a woman here lost 3 of her little dogs to one. Sad story all around, but if you live in the country you have to understand and prepare for these things. Wild animals dont see property lines and fur babies lol, they see a welcome sign and free food
