You just sit around waiting for some animal to show up. What a waste of time. It doesn't even take any skill at all. The best hunters I've ever known were fat morons who weren't good at anything else. There's no "gameplay mechanic" to it at all. You literally just wait. I'd rather be doing anything else. If I had to hunt to survive I'd just use traps instead, even for deer. No way I'm gonna sit around doing nothing for hours.
