Yours has quite a steep grind from what i can see, performance could be greatly improved by taking it down to 15 degrees with micro bevel of 25. With the shovel you are going to see even less performance as the size of log increases, and less performance splitting. Not as good for carving and butchery either i'm sure. Is losing this ability really worth the improved digging ability over stick? Channels like primitive seem to do a crazy amount of stuff with digging stick, but his problem seems to be cutting wood with stone axe. I'm struggling to find reasons why digging a hole would help in a survival situation.
