She's about a year old, stubborn as a mule. I've never trained a dog before and I have a hard time getting her to listen to me.
She gets excited on the trail and bounces around at the end of her leash. Once I was crouched down filling my canteen from a stream and she yanked the leash from my hand, I proceeded to chase her down the trail for about a mile in a dead sprint. The entire time she was looking over her shoulder with her tongue out, tail wagging like she thought it was a game. When I finally gassed myself and literally could not chase her anymore I guess she figured the game was over so THEN she came back.
Any anons good at dogs with tips?
