Most shit is pretty water resistant from the get go. But Grab some $5 silicone if you're worried and put it on the joins of the casing. You're never changing batteries so who gives a fuck.
It also doubles as a hand torch which is pretty zany.
The only reason you'll buy a headlamp over $30 is if you have all the gear and no idea. Or you're spotlighting. The lowest brightness on almost any Torch is sufficient for 99% of situations.
