>>2171528Forceps are nice for panfish when they swallow the hook, but I prefer a set of needle nose pliers like pic related for most purposes. The cutter is really handy for line, they have a little flat section in front of the cutter that works great for squishing down barbs which is nice for panfish fishing, and the more robust construction helps for using splitshots and for larger fish. You can get one for like 4-10 bucks at any hardware store or Walmart. No reason not have one of each.
>>2171490Alongside what the other guy said, try marabou jigs like beetle bou jigs. 1/32 oz and 1/16 oz. In my experience they are extremely effective for most species, just a little light for a lot of fishing. I have even caught loads of lake trout on them by just throwing some split shots over one and jigging in 60 FoW. You should also have bass there which are always fun to target. Weedless jigs, texas rigs, and topwaters are good places to start for those.
