>>2329474I know beets have some frost hardness, but everything they say online says they winterkill at prolonged 15F. It confuses me because I know sugar beets are grown in south dakota. Pic related is the same calf hut I have, I'm thinking I could fit quite a few under it and cover with straw but I'm not sure it's enough. I guess I'll find out one way or another next spring. Im thinking about trying to build a solar heater for the chicken coop, so if I put them nearby maybe I can even cheat a little bit more from that.
