Can't really pack a lot of food because of the weight but still 1/4 of my backpack is water and food. Including 2x500g emergency rations. They are gluten and lactose free as my wife and one of my kids are allergic. Thus the dark chocolate. Personally I like beef jerky.

Add work googles which seals and you basically have a gasmask. Another reason I'm not doing this is kids: what's the point of having great respiratory protections for the parents while kids don't have adequate one? There would have to be two battery powered masks. We don't have that much airbourne dangers in here. Viruses and nuclear being most likely.
