>>450900I live in the UK, but sent both my son and daughter to beavers, then cubs, then scouts. There is an exclusively girls option (guides) but from what I gather it's mainly arts and crafts, make-up, hostess badges, learning to make cups of tea etc. In the US I hear it largely revolves around biscuits (cookies)?
I wanted my daughter to learn knots, camping, fire starting, target shooting with air rifles, how to use a knife and all the good stuff. She is now always prepared. I'm pleased they allow girls in scouts now, we never called it "boy scouts" or "girl guides" in the UK - that was just implied.
