>The John Wayne trail follows the Yakima west of Ellensburg, and it's lovely if you can put up with the gravel.That section of the trail really is lovely. East of Cle Elum / Teanaway area to west of Thorp is beautiful. Nice mix of oak and ponderosa for a bit of it. I wish I had some better pics. They renamed it Palouse to Cascades Trail btw.
