I've liked using lipless crankbaits for a long time for largemouth bass, I've recently become a much bigger fan of square-bills in the past year or so. Fishing a lot slower and more carefully, also using a more sensitive setup and fishing them in grass more - fishing with a bigger body squarebill and just kind of slowly wriggling it through grass so it bounces off each stalk of vegetation has proven to be extremely effective!
I might try picking up a KVD 4.0 or 8.0 since I have a heavier rod that can handle that better now
